Waste tire recycling equipment converts end-of-life passenger car, truck, and OTR tires into reusable rubber granules, rubber powder, steel wire, and nylon fiber. The system uses mechanical shredding, crushing, grinding, screening, and separation to recover these materials without chemical additives. The process can be configured according to the tire type, required capacity, and final product specifications.
The tire recycling process begins by shredding whole tires into approximately 30–80 mm tire chips. The material is then processed through multiple stages to separate steel wire and nylon fiber from the rubber. Further crushing and screening produce rubber granules typically ranging from 0–6 mm, including customized sizes such as 0–2 mm, 3–4 mm, and 5–6 mm. For finer applications, the material can be further ground into rubber powder in sizes ranging from approximately 5 to 120 mesh, depending on the required specification.
Two main configurations are available. A waste tire shredding and granulation line is designed to efficiently produce rubber granules while recovering steel and fiber. A tire rubber powder line adds fine grinding and classification stages to produce finer rubber powder for applications such as molded rubber products, modified plastics, speed bumps, and other rubber-based materials. The line can also collect recovered steel wire and nylon fiber as separate recyclable materials.
Tire Shredding Equipment & Rubber Recycling Machinery
Typical equipment includes tire shredders, secondary crushers, granulators, steel wire separators, fiber separators, grinding mills, vibrating screens, air separators, conveyors, and dust collection systems. The line can be supplied with capacities from 300 to 3,000 kg/h, with the equipment layout and processing stages customized to suit the feedstock and production requirements.
The process operates at ambient temperature and uses dry mechanical separation, eliminating the need for chemical additives or process wastewater. Dust collection is integrated where required to control airborne particles during shredding and grinding. With a modular configuration and multiple output options, the system provides a practical solution for turning end-of-life tires into marketable rubber, steel, and fiber resources.
