The Tire Shredder Machine is designed for the primary size reduction of waste tires and various rubber materials. It efficiently processes passenger car tires, truck tires, bus tires, OTR (off-the-road) tires, agricultural and industrial tires, as well as rubber conveyor belts, rubber hoses, rubber blocks, mixed rubber waste, and other rubber products. By shredding these materials into uniform rubber chips, the machine significantly reduces material volume.

Tire and Rubber Shredder Machine Structure

The Tire Shredder Machine features a robust and compact structure consisting of a feed hopper, feeding conveyor, dual-shaft shredding chamber with heavy-duty cutter shafts and Cr12MoV alloy blades, machine frame, gear reducer, electric motor, PLC control cabinet, screening machine, and discharge conveyor. An optional second-level maintenance platform is also available for easier inspection and servicing, ensuring efficient operation and simplified maintenance.

Tire and Rubber Shredder Working Principle

Waste tires are conveyed into the shredding chamber, where two counter-rotating shafts equipped with heavy-duty Cr12MoV alloy blades generate powerful cutting, shearing, and tearing forces to reduce whole tires into rubber strips or uniform rubber chips. The shredded material is then screened, with oversized pieces automatically returned for re-shredding until the desired particle size is achieved. Finally, the finished rubber chips are discharged via the conveyor, ready for downstream recycling processes.

For more demanding applications, a four-shaft tire shredder is available as an optional solution. Compared with the standard dual-shaft design, it delivers finer output, higher cutting efficiency, and improved material control, making it ideal for processing tougher rubber materials or meeting more stringent particle size requirements.
