★ An Aluminum Can Decoating Furnace, also known as a UBC (Used Beverage Can) Decoating Furnace, is a thermal pre-treatment system designed to remove paint, ink, lacquer, plastic films, and other organic coatings from aluminum scrap before melting. The furnace is suitable for a wide variety of coated metal materials, including used beverage cans (UBCs), painted aluminum scrap, aluminum profiles, electronic waste, insulated copper wires, and selected battery-related materials requiring thermal pretreatment. Rather than burning the coatings in a melting furnace, the system uses controlled pyrolysis at 450–550°C to decompose organic materials while keeping the aluminum below its melting point. Different coating types and thicknesses can be processed by adjusting the operating temperature and residence time to achieve optimal removal efficiency. The result is cleaner scrap with higher recycling value and improved smelting performance.

To further enhance environmental performance, the aluminum can decoating system integrates a thermal oxidizer and a high-temperature dust collection unit to treat exhaust gases generated during pyrolysis. Intelligent PID temperature control automatically regulates the heating process, maintaining stable operating temperatures and preventing uneven heating or incomplete coating removal. Automatic feeding, sealed material transfer, and PLC-based operation reduce manual intervention while enabling continuous production and remote monitoring.
