Electric Motor Stator Rotor Recycling and Processing Line

The waste electric motor stator and rotor recycling line is designed to process pre-sorted scrap motor stators, rotors, copper windings, and small transformers with diameters of up to 250 mm. The system uses staged crushing, magnetic separation, eddy current separation, and cable recycling to recover steel, aluminum, copper, and non-metallic materials.

The process begins with a primary crusher, which reduces the pre-sorted motor components into smaller pieces. A magnetic separator then removes ferrous materials such as steel laminations and other iron-containing components. The remaining material is transferred to a secondary crusher for further size reduction, followed by a second magnetic separation stage to remove residual steel. The non-ferrous fraction then enters an eddy current separator, which separates aluminum from the remaining copper and non-metallic materials. The copper-rich fraction can be further processed through a cable recycling machine to recover copper from the remaining insulation and non-metallic material.

The electric motor crushing system uses a low-speed, high-torque dual-shaft design for stable processing of difficult motor components. The cutters are manufactured from specially treated tool steel to provide strong shearing, tearing, and compression performance. The secondary crushing system uses a high-hardness shaft and modular cutter-head design, helping reduce wear-part consumption and maintenance costs. After crushing and separation, the line can produce separate steel, aluminum, copper, and non-metallic fractions. The magnetic separation system is designed for efficient ferrous recovery, while the eddy current separator further improves the separation of non-ferrous metals. The final copper fraction can be processed through the cable recycling stage for additional recovery.

The entire electric motor recycling and processing system is controlled by a PLC system to coordinate feeding and equipment operation. A pulse dust collection system is integrated into the crushing and separation stages to control airborne dust, with the supplied system rated for dust removal efficiency of up to 99%. The overall layout is compact and designed for stable, continuous operation with relatively low vibration and noise. For recyclers processing small motors and similar electrical equipment, this integrated system provides a practical way to convert mixed motor components into recoverable steel, aluminum, and copper.
