Deploys Advanced Beverage Carton Recycling Line in Meerut, India

MEERUT, INDIA — We have successfully commissioned a full-scale recycling system in Meerut, India, designed to tackle the complex challenge of processing used beverage cartons (UBCs), including Tetra Pak packaging. The end-to-end installation recovers both high-grade paper pulp and PolyAl (polyethylene-aluminum), turning multi-layer composite waste into two valuable, market-ready raw materials.

While conventional recycling processes struggle with composite packaging due to its bonded layers of paper fiber, polyethylene, and aluminum, Henan Honest Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd.’s specialized processing line achieves efficient material separation through a streamlined, multi-stage process:

★ Shredding & Structural Opening: Incoming post-consumer cartons are shredded to loosen the multi-layer bond, preparing the material for downstream separation.
★ Pulp Extraction & Baling: A dedicated separation unit extracts the paper fibers from the plastic-aluminum matrix. The reclaimed pulp undergoes screening and dewatering via a filter press before being compacted by a high-capacity horizontal baler for optimized storage and logistics.
★ PolyAl Pelletizing: Rather than discarding the remaining plastic-aluminum mixture as residual waste, the separated PolyAl fraction is fed directly into an extrusion pelletizing system to yield uniform, high-density recycled pellets.
★ By generating two primary output streams—baled paper pulp and recycled PolyAl pellets—the project establishes a closed-loop recycling model for composite waste in the region.
