Copper Wire Granulator Uses Crushing and Gravity Separation

This copper wire recycling system designed for processing around 200–300 kg of scrap wire per hour combines size reduction with gravity separation to recover copper from plastic insulation. The configuration provides a relatively simple processing route for recyclers handling communication cables, power cables, electronic wires, and other suitable scrap wire.

The process starts with crushing and size reduction. Instead of attempting to separate intact cables, the machine breaks the wires into smaller pieces, exposing the copper conductors from their plastic insulation. The processed material is then transferred to a separation system, where differences in material density are used to separate copper from lighter plastic.

The key to consistent recovery is matching the copper wire granulator to the type and size of cable being processed. Wire diameter, insulation thickness, copper content, and the presence of mixed or oversized cables can all affect feeding, throughput, and separation performance. For more varied scrap, additional size-reduction equipment such as a single-shaft shredder may be integrated ahead of the granulator.

For recyclers processing moderate volumes of scrap wire, a 200–300 kg/h copper wire granulator can provide a straightforward alternative to a more complex recycling line. The final equipment configuration should be selected according to the actual wire feedstock, required capacity, and desired copper purity rather than machine capacity or price alone.
