Structure Details & Workflow of Waste Double Shaft Tire Shredder

The Double-Shaft Tire Shredder is designed for the primary size reduction of whole waste tires and rubber materials, serving as the core equipment in modern tire recycling plants. Its heavy-duty construction integrates a feeding conveyor, shredding chamber, counter-rotating cutter shafts, Cr12MoV alloy blades, gear reducer, PLC control system, screening unit, and discharge conveyor to ensure reliable, continuous operation under demanding industrial conditions.

During operation, whole tires are automatically conveyed into the shredding chamber, where two low-speed, high-torque shafts rotate in opposite directions. The specially designed alloy blades generate powerful cutting, shearing, and tearing forces, efficiently breaking down passenger car tires, truck tires, OTR tires, and other rubber products without the need for pre-cutting.

The shredded material then passes through an integrated screening system, where oversized pieces are automatically recirculated for further shredding until the required particle size is achieved. This closed-loop process ensures a consistent output while maximizing production efficiency and minimizing unnecessary energy consumption.

The shredder machine produces uniform rubber strips or chips measuring 30–80 mm, including shredded tires, steel-reinforced rubber, rubber hoses, and rubber blocks. These high-quality output materials are ideal for downstream recycling processes such as steel wire separation, rubber granulation, crumb rubber production, tire-derived fuel (TDF), rubber powder manufacturing, and pyrolysis, providing a reliable foundation for efficient and profitable tire recycling.
