Eddy Current Separator for Non-Ferrous Metal Sorting and Recycling

Recovering valuable non-ferrous metals from mixed waste streams is a critical step in modern recycling. The Eddy Current Separator is designed to automatically recover non-ferrous metals using magnetic induction technology. As shredded materials pass through a high-speed rotating magnetic field, conductive metals generate eddy currents that create a repulsive force, causing them to be projected away from the stream of material. Non-conductive materials such as plastics and rubber remain unaffected and continue along a different path, enabling efficient, continuous separation without water, chemicals, or manual sorting.

This technology is widely used in aluminum recycling, e-waste processing, automotive recycling, appliance dismantling, and municipal waste recovery. It is particularly effective for separating aluminum from plastic, recovering metals from shredded beverage cans, extracting non-ferrous metals from appliance and vehicle recycling residues, processing radiator scrap, and upgrading mixed metal-plastic fractions generated during recycling operations.

For optimal performance, feed materials should be pre-shredded and screened to achieve a uniform particle size.
