ACSR (Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced) cable is favored for overhead power transmission due to its strength and conductivity. Its steel-reinforced structure, however, makes recycling more challenging than standard aluminum or copper wire. Conventional granulators and shredders can be damaged quickly, so specialized equipment is necessary for efficient processing and metal recovery.

The integrated ACSR aluminum cable shredding machine combines shredding, magnetic separation, and dust collection into one complete system. During processing, the cable is first cut into short sections of 10–50 mm by a heavy-duty crushing unit equipped with wear-resistant alloy steel blades. The machine uses a low-speed, high-torque design to handle hard steel-reinforced conductors more stably while reducing blade wear and vibration during operation. Following the crushing stage, the mixture proceeds to the separation phase; here, the steel cores and aluminum are automatically separated and purified using a magnetic separation system, achieving a separation rate of over 99%.

To improve recycling efficiency and maintain a clean working environment, the system is also equipped with a pulse dust collection device. Fine dust and light impurities generated during crushing and separation are collected automatically, reducing material loss and ensuring more stable machine operation. The final output consists of clean aluminum particles and separated steel core material, both of which can be sold directly or further processed for metal recycling.
