Scrap Metal Shredding and ASR Recycling Line Details

Before processing ASR or mixed metal waste, it is essential to determine whether the incoming material requires size reduction. Oversized materials can be pretreated with a shredder and hammer crusher. We provide two complete solutions: direct ASR recycling for pre-crushed materials, and a full shredding–crushing–sorting line for bulk waste requiring pretreatment.

ASR Recycling Line

The Automotive Shredder Residue (ASR) Recycling Line is designed to recover non-ferrous metals such as copper, aluminum, zinc, and stainless steel from the residue generated after shredding end-of-life vehicles, appliances, and metal scrap. The line integrates drum screening, vibrating classification, magnetic separation, and eddy current separation to achieve precise material recovery. Material passes through multi-stage particle-size classification (<5mm, 5–15mm, 15–30mm, 30–60mm, 60–100mm), enabling optimized separation accuracy. High-performance eddy current separators with concentric rotor designs ensure excellent recovery rates for small particles (5–20mm). Optional systems—including air separation, full-metal detectors, magnetic separators, color sorters, and X-ray sorting—can be added to increase purity and output value.

Scrap Metal Shredding Line

For oversized or mixed scrap that requires front-end preparation, the Scrap Metal Shredding–Crushing–Sorting Line provides a fully integrated processing workflow. Material is fed by a chain conveyor into a primary shredder, then reduced further by a hammer mill into uniform particles. A dust collection system controls emissions throughout the crushing section. Ferrous metals are removed with magnetic separation, while non-ferrous metals are separated from plastics and light fractions through rotary screening and multi-stage eddy current separation. The system supports customized configurations based on material composition, capacity, and environmental standards.

Both systems deliver high recovery efficiency, stable performance, reduced labor requirements, and strong compatibility with a wide range of waste types including ELV fluff (SLF), ASR waste, mixed plastics, aluminum-copper residue, and non-metal fractions.
